Questions

Frequently asked questions

From what age?

From 6 up to 16. Over 16, training is at the Badalona dojo.

Is it safe?

Yes. There is no striking and no competition in aikido, and the first thing learnt is how to fall without getting hurt, always on the mat and at each person's own pace.

Do we need a sports centre membership?

No. Anyone can sign up at the general fee, which covers every space. With a Marina-Besòs sports centre membership you can pay the members' fee instead, which covers this space's classes only.

What do they need for the first class?

Comfortable clothes with long sleeves and long trousers. A keikogi is needed on signing up; on the quarterly or annual fee, the dojo provides it.

How do we find the room?

The tatami room is inside the sports centre and can be hard to find. The access page has the plan with the entrance marked; allow extra time on your first visit.
