- Comfortable long-sleeved top and long trousers. You do not need a keikogi to start.

- Aikido Musubi, a non-profit cultural association founded in 2008. We are part of Aikido Arashi Group, recognised by the Aikikai Foundation (Hombu Dojo, Tokyo).

Write to us
An email or a WhatsApp. We will tell you which day suits and who will meet you.

Arrive fifteen minutes early
We will show you the changing room and the mat, and introduce whoever will train with you.

Comfortable clothes, nothing else
Long sleeves, long trousers, bare feet. One hour, and nobody is going to test you on day one.

Who teaches
The instructors
The Marina-Besòs class is led by the dojo's instructors, with a grading programme of its own and the same line as in Badalona. As the law requires of anyone who works with minors, the instructor holds a clear certificate from Spain's Central Register of Sex Offenders. All of them trained at Aikido Musubi and follow the line of the Aikikai Hombu Dojo in Tokyo.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need previous experience?
No. Someone starting out trains alongside someone with years behind them, and there is no competition in aikido, so nobody is measuring themselves against you.
Do I have to buy a keikogi to start?
No. Comfortable long-sleeved clothes and long trousers are enough for the first classes. If you then sign up by the quarter or the year, the dojo provides the keikogi, at any of the spaces.
Can I try before signing up?
Yes: two trial classes, and registration costs nothing. Write to us and we will tell you which day to come.
How much does it cost?
29 € a month up to age 16, with access to all our spaces. With a Marina-Besòs sports centre membership, 9 € a month, for that space's classes only. Paying by the quarter or the year costs less, and in a family, the first person pays the normal fee and each one after that pays 15 € less a month. Registration is free and there are two trial classes. The annual sports insurance is paid separately.
What language are the classes in?
In Spanish and Catalan, and in English whenever it is needed. The terminology is Japanese, as in any dojo, and you pick it up as you go.
How is it different from the classes in Badalona?
Marina-Besòs is our class for children and teens up to 16. Over 16, training is at the Badalona dojo, ten minutes away, which has aikido Tuesday to Saturday.
